The PROW has a multi-disciplinary team of young, efficient and energetic research professionals. The professionals are primarily Masters in Social Welfare or Business Administration and doctorates from leading Business schools & universities along with degrees in engineering, Sociology, Psychology, Computers statistics, Economics and other basic social sciences in addition to work experience in socio-economic and marketing research & management.



Kanhaiya Singh

  • As the founder and President of Progressive Research Organization for Welfare (PROW) he has been instrumental in conceiving and executing a range of sustainable agriculture and livelihood projects. These initiatives have encompassed everything from modern farming and organic farming to capacity building for rural communities.
  • He is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in rural and community development, specializing in the formation and management of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Over the years, he has been actively involved in empowering both farmers and women to improve their livelihoods and foster sustainable development in rural areas.
  • Established and nurtured Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to enhance the economic well-being of smallholder farmers. Facilitated the formation of Women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to empower women through financial inclusion and skill development.
  • Collaborated with local agricultural cooperatives and government agencies to create FPOs focused on crop diversification, market access, and value addition. Spearheaded the formation of SHGs to promote gender equality, financial literacy, and women's entrepreneurship.

  • His Journey in this field began with co founding of Progressive Research Organization for Welfare (PROW) in 2003, and since served as the General Secretary. Through these twenty years, have been instrumental in conceiving and executing a range of social research studies and action work pan India impacting over 2 lakhs across most of the states in India giving the organisation the capability to operate Pan India. Vinod mentions “My commitment to driving positive change within our society has been unwavering. At PROW, our mission has always been to tackle pressing social issues head-on through rigorous research, strategic action plans, and community engagement. We have successfully executed numerous projects and initiatives that have had a meaningful impact on the lives of countless individuals and communities.
  • Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to the principles of social justice, equality, and inclusivity. My dedication to improving the lives of those who need it most continues to drive me every day.
