Progressive Research Organization for Welfare (PROW) is an autonomous Research and Development organization, PROW was set by a team of experienced, eminent and young Professionals with the capability to provide a wide range of development works, research and consultancy services in wide areas including community Development, Environment Management, Feasibility & Situation Analysis, Project and Program Evaluations and Market Research.

Contribution to society and the dream of making an impact were the driving forces of the two young men – Kanhaiya Singh and Vinod Giri. In close to two decades, they have built an organisation that focuses on capacity building for Communities with a focus on Rural India. Enabled through Public Institutions like NABARD they focused on two states - UP and Bihar. They set up multiple farmers' produce organisations and will be starting a non-farm produce organisation for Varanasi Sarees. Their constant urge to give back more and how to impact people and communities' lives positively, led to them to the next phase of PROW where they envisioned to create permanent or long term structural initiatives which will be helping communities over a longer period of time.

PROW has always believed in the philosophy of participation, inclusion, and implementing research in various social and marketing fields for human welfare. Research and data analysis were taken up across various sectors in India for multiple Sustainable Development Goals SDGs or Corporate social responsibilities to give credible, ground-level inputs. They focused on healthcare, Education, Livelihood, Financial literacy, and Agriculture as key sectors and also took inputs from the Baseline surveys and impact assessments of various projects pan India.
